Coral Estate and Rif Sint Marie lie on the west coast of Curaçao, in Bandabou, the rural western part of the island. The nearest village, Sint Willibrordus, is about 25 km from Willemstad, so living here means a drive into town for most errands. Rif Sint Marie was one of the oldest plantations on the island. Its old salt pans are still there, and flamingos are regularly seen in them.
Bandabou is hilly and green, with a rough landscape and beaches in small bays along the south coast. Porto Marie and Daaibooi, two of those bays, are a few kilometres from Sint Willibrordus, and Christoffelpark, the largest nature park on Curaçao, lies further west. Good to know: Bullen Bay, the bay just south of the area, has an oil terminal.
