Specialization
Joubert Realty is not specialized in any specific area of Curaçao or specific property type; rather, the firm positions itself as an island-wide, full-service real estate company. Their current and historical listings span numerous neighborhoods across Willemstad and the broader island, including Otrobanda, Emmastad, Punda, Jan Sofat, Zapateer (Zuid Zapateer), Matancia, Hato, Juan Hato, Grote Berg, Steenrijk, Brakkeput, Cerito, Gosie, Amerikanenkamp, Van Engelen, Heintje Kool, Montana Abou, Souax, Klein Sint Michiel, Koraal Partier, Banda Ariba, Mon Repos, Groot Piscadera, Rio Canario, and Habaai. They handle all property types: residential properties, commercial properties, apartments, lots/land, and industrial properties. Their proprietary software system tracks every single real estate transaction across the entire island. Furthermore, their appraisal division (Taxatiekantoor Joubert) also serves the other former Dutch Antilles islands beyond Curaçao. Their blog content targets both local residents and international buyers (particularly from the Netherlands), covering topics such as buying a second home on Curaçao, investing with limited budgets, and the differences between the Banda Ariba (east) and Banda Abou (west) sides of the island.
What Sets Them Apart
According to their own website, Joubert Realty sets itself apart in the following ways: (1) They are Curaçao's first real estate company, founded in 1969 with over 50 years of experience, claiming to be 'the preeminent real estate professional on the island' and 'Curaçao's most respected Broker & Appraiser.' (2) They have invested heavily in a proprietary software system that compiles and records every single real estate transaction on Curaçao for over 20 years, updated daily, enabling them to track market conditions for any specific house, street, neighborhood, or the entire island from year to year - they describe this system as 'immeasurable' in value for their appraisal department. (3) They operate as a dual firm - both a real estate brokerage (Joubert Realty) and a certified appraisal office (Taxatiekantoor Joubert) - with appraisals accepted by all financial institutions and listed on the approved appraiser list of all local banks and mortgage companies. (4) Their stated core values are honesty (eerlijkheid), transparency (transparantie), professionalism (professionalisme), strong negotiation skills, creativity, and proven results (bewezen resultaten). (5) They emphasize trust and discretion as essential to their business philosophy, with the objective of developing long-term relationships and earning repeat referrals as a measure of achievement. (6) They maintain an extensive client database for targeted marketing mailings and relationships with numerous contractors and repair companies for property management. (7) They offer comprehensive property management services for absentee owners living abroad, positioning Curaçao as an attractive second-home destination.

Google Reviews Realtor
I had two bad experiences with this real estate business in the past. The first experience was when we looking for a house in Curaçao. They tried to sell us a house, that turned out to have a major dry rot problem. The staff member of Joubert Realty (short: JR) however did his best to downplay all troubling signs of fungus I saw, and later it also appeared that some of the signs had been masked. When I later talked off-record to another staff member she admitted that JR knew of this major problem. This way they grossly violated the legal obligation to inform. Later we had a justified discussion about the fee JR charged for a real estate appraisal they had done for us. A bank needs this appraisal to provide a mortgage loan. While we were still having this discussion, a manager of JR contacted the bank behind our backs and committed slander by telling the bank he had doubts about our creditworthiness and our payment morale. We still believe this behaviour was immoral for a professional. We advice others to avoid this place as we had the experience that they are grossly dishonest, immoral and unprofessional.
They made a appointment for a house visit. We waited for almost 1 hour and when we called the person whom made the apoinment there were no response. after calling the office for the 2nd time they told us that they canceled the appointment. and yes sorry that they forgot to call.
I did not found the site so surfing friendly, just mine opinion.
